Goodyear certified ‘Top Employer UK’ for the sixth time

Top Employer United Kingdom 2019

Goodyear, one of world’s leading tyre manufacturers has been recognized by the Top Employers Institute as a ‘Top Employer’ in the United Kingdom for the sixth time. This certification is granted on a yearly basis by the independent organization Top Employers Institute to companies that dedicate themselves to providing the very best working environment for employees through their progressive ‘people-first’ HR practices.

Goodyear received the prestigious certification in 11 other countries across its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The company was also awarded with the ‘Top Employer Europe’ certification once again.

As an independent HR certification company, the Top Employers Institute assesses participants through their global HR Best Practices Survey. In order to be certified, organizations must successfully achieve the required minimum standard as set out by the Top Employers Institute and Goodyear has once again exceeded these requirements.

Yasmine Goudembourg, HR Manager UK&I at Goodyear said: “Our first priority has and will always be our people. Having the right HR practices in place helps us retain our skilled associates and to attract new talent to join our team. The certification by the Top Employer Institute is a significant recognition for us.

The Certification allows us to benchmark with other successful companies in the market and to learn in which areas we can further improve as an employer committed to excellence. It also provides us with the ability to leverage our employer branding to attract and retain the best talent.”

Headquartered in the Netherlands, the Institute has recognised Top Employers around the world since 1991. David Plink, CEO at the Top Employers Institute commented: “We believe that the 2019 Certified organizations demonstrate exceptional employee conditions and encourage the development of these practices by putting their people first. These companies help enrich the world of work with their outstanding dedication to HR excellence and because of this, they are recognized as an employer of choice”
